Tom joined Goodmans in 2021 as a Trainee Financial Planner after a decade in the Royal Marines and two years’ studying for financial planning qualifications in his spare time.
It’s no surprise that the Commando values of excellence, integrity, self-discipline, humility and cheerfulness translated well to Goodmans approach to retirement planning and long-term investment advice. Having achieved his professional and advanced Diplomas with lightning speed, Tom maintained momentum with his studies and absorbed the intensive mentoring from our Managing Director, Andrew Moore, to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status in late 2025.
Tom loves to maintain his fitness, so you can usually find him at the gym or early morning runs through Saltram park before heading into the office. Outside of work, Tom also enjoys spending time with his wife and taking his French bulldog, Louie, for walks around Plympton Castle.
